Support
Email support@buildplate.dev and you will get a reply. Bugs, feature requests and complaints are all welcome. If you are reporting something broken, the model’s title and which feed you were in is usually enough to find it.
The feed keeps showing me the same kind of thing
That is the For You feed doing its job, and the Discovery tab is the cure. Discovery deliberately pulls from categories you have never judged either way, and every card there says why it appeared. Your Profile screen lists your blind spots — well-stocked categories you have never touched — and tapping one takes you straight into it.
Why am I seeing this model?
Every card carries a short reason in the top corner: a tag you keep liking, a category you have never explored, or simply that it is taking off right now. Nothing in the deck is paid placement.
I swiped by accident
Undo is under the three action keys and takes back the last swipe.
How do I get my history onto a new phone?
On the old phone, open Profile, tap Sign in, and choose Link this device — that keeps the history you already have and gives it an email address. On the new phone choose Sign in instead. If the new phone already has swipes of its own, it asks whether to keep both or use the account’s history alone.
My profile looks empty
It fills in after about five swipes and gets useful after a few dozen. Before that there is not enough to say anything honest about.
Can I start over?
Profile → Start my profile over. It clears the learned weights and keeps your library.
Where do the models come from?
MakerWorld and Printables. Buildplate does not host any files — tapping through opens the model on the site that does, where you download it as normal. Every model belongs to its creator.
Deleting your account
Profile → Delete everything. That removes the learned profile, the library, the swipe history and the account itself, and it does not need us to do anything. See the privacy policy for what is stored in the first place.
